HD404369 General Description

The HD404369 Series is a 4-bit HMCS400-Series microcomputer designed to increase program productivity and also incorporate large-capacity memory. Each microcomputer has an A/D converter, input capture timer, 32-kHz oscillator for clock, and four low-power dissipation modes.

The HD404369 Series includes nine chips: the HD404364, HD40A4364 with 4-kword ROM; the HD404368, HD40A4368 with 8-kword ROM; the HD4043612, HD40A43612 with 12-kword ROM; the HD404369, HD40A4369 with 16-kword ROM; the HD407A4369 with 16-kword PROM.

The HD40A4364, HD40A4368, HD40A43612, HD40A4369, and HD407A4369 are high speed versions (minimum instruction cycle time: 0.47 ms).

The HD407A4369 is a PROM version (ZTATM microcomputer). A program can be written to the PROM by a PROM writer, which can dramatically shorten system development periods and smooth the process from debugging to mass production. (The ZTATMversion is 27256-compatible.)

HD404374 General Description

The HD404374, HD404384, and HD404389 Series comprise low-voltage, 4-bit single-chip microcomputers equipped with four 10-bit A/D converter channels, a serial interface, and large-current I/O pins. These devices are suitable for use in applications requiring high resolution A/D converter control, such as battery chargers.

The HD404082 and HD404084 series offer less advanced features than the HD404384 series. They are 4- bit microcomputers that support low-voltage operation for backward software compatibility.

HD404374 Series microcomputers have a 32.768 kHz sub-resonator for realtime clock use, providing a time counting facility, and a variety of low-power modes to reduce current drain.

The HD407A4374, HD407A4384, HD407A4389, HD407C4374, HD407C4384, and HD407C4389 are ZTATTM microcomputers with on-chip PROM that drastically shortens development time and ensures a smooth transition from debugging to mass production. (The PROM programming specifications are the same as for the 27256 type.)

ZTATTM: Zero Turn-Around Time. ZTATTM is a trademark of Renesas Technology Corp.
