CM8880 General Description

The CM8880 is a kind of fully integrated DTMF transceiver. It is manufactured using state-of-art advanced CMOS technology for low power consumption and precise data handling. It is based on the industry standard CM8870 DTMF receiver, while the transmitter ultilizes a switched capacitor D/A converter for low distortion, highly accurate DTMF signaling. Internal counters provide an automatic tone burst mode which allows tone bursts to be transmitted with precise time.

There are some features as follows: (1)advanced CMOS technology for low power consumption and increased noise immunity; (2)complete DTMF transmitter/receiver; (3)standard 6500/8500 microprocessor port; (4)central office quality and performance; (5)adjustable tone burst mide; (6)call progress mode; (7)single +5 V power supply; (8)2MHz microprocessor port operation; (9)no continuous clock required, only strobe.
