Am9520 is a kind of burst error processor.It is an LSI circuit that faciliates the most common error detection and correction schemes accommodating data streams of up to 585K bits at up to 20M bits/second effective data rate.There are some distinctive characteristics.First,it provides for detection and correction of burst errors.The second is high-speed operation.Then is selectable industry-standard polynomials.Besides,three correction algorithms provide flexibility.The last one is designed for use in both microprogrammed and microprocessor disk controller systems.
