The AD654JR is one member of the AD654 family which designed as the monolithic V/F converter. This device consists of three parts:an input amplifier, a precision oscillator system, and a high current output stage, so it could operates from a single supply of 5 V to 36 V and consumes only 2.0 mA quiescent current. Also the AD654JR can accommodate a wide range of negative input voltages with proper selection of the scaling resistor.
Features of the AD654JR are:(1)low offset:1 mV;(2)low power:2.0 mA quiescent current;(3)versatile input amplifier:positive or negative voltage modes and negative current mode and high input impedance, low drift;(4)minimum number of external components needed;(5)full-scale frequency up to 500 kHz;(6)single or dual supply, 5 V to 36 V, 65 V to 618 V;(7)low cost. With the help of these points of features, it could accommodate a wide range of negative input voltages with proper selection of the scaling resistor.
The absolute maximum ratings of the AD654JR can be summarized as:(1)total supply voltage +Vs to -Vs:36 V;(2)maximum input voltage (pins 3, 4) to -Vs:-300 mV to +Vs;(3)maximum output current (instantaneous):50 mA;(4)maximum output current (sustained):25 mA;(5)logic common to -Vs:-500 mV to (+Vs-4);(6)storage temperature range:-65°C to +150°C.
