30L30CTPbF is a center tap schottky rectifier which has been optimized for very low forward voltage drop, with moderate leakage.The reliable operation can reach 150 junction temperature due to the proprietary barrier technology.It is widely used in switching power supplies, converters, free-wheeling diodes, and reverse battery protection.
You have to understand the major ratings and characteristics if you wannt to purchase the product.IF(AV) is 2 x 15A at Rectangular waveform.VRRM is 30V.VF(Per Leg) is 0.37V when @ 15 Apk and TJ = 125. TJ ranges from - 55 to 150.
Here we give you some features about it. First,the TJ of operation is 150.The second one is that it has center tap configuration.The third one is that the forward voltage drop is very low.The fourth attractive one is its high purity, high temperature epoxy encapsulation for enhanced mechanical strength and moisture resistance.The fifth one is that it has high frequency operation.The sixth one is that it has guard ring for enhanced ruggedness and long term reliability.The last one is that it is Lead-Free ("PbF" suffix).
Then we come to the voltage ratings. The VR (Max. DC Reverse Voltage) and the VRWM (Max. Working Peak Reverse Voltage) are both 30V.
The following is about the absolute maximum ratings.It has four parameters.The first one is about the IF(AV) (Max. Average Forward Current) .Under the condition that 50% duty cycle@ TC = 140 and rectangular wave form IF(AV) is 30A per device and 15A per leg.The second one is about the IFSM (Max. Peak One Cycle Non-Repetitive Surge Current).Following any rated load condition and with rated VRRM applied IFSM is 1450A at 5s sine or 3s rect. pulse and 220A at 10ms sine or 6ms rect. pulse.The third one is about the EAS (Non-Repetitive Avalanche Energy (Per Leg)).EAS is 15mJ on the condition that TJ = 25 °C, IAS = 2 Amps and L = 7.5 mH.The fourth one is about the IAR (Repetitive Avalanche Current (Per Leg)).IAR is 2A on the condition that current decaying linearly to zero in 1 sec and frequency limited by TJ max. VA = 1.5 x VR typical.
