The UM91531 is a parallel input tone/pulse dialer.It provides a 4-bit data input and a handshaking signal to sever as microcomputer interfaces.Under microcomputer control it generates both a DTMF signal and a pulse output for telephone dialing.

Features of the UM91531 are:(1)4-bit parallel data input from microcomputer;(2)TTL conpatible inputs and outputs;(3)uses TV crystal standard(3.58MHz) to derive all frequencies,providing high accuracy and stability;(4)operating voltage:2.5V to 5.5V;(5)selectable M/B ratio;(6)10PPS dial rate;(7)DTMF signaling of digits 0-9,*,#,and A;(8)pulse signaling of 0-9,*,#,and A;(9)high group tone pre-emphasis:2dB;(10)low total harmonic distortion in DTMF signaling;(11)RS-470 and CEPT compatible.
