The ZXCT1008FTA is designed as a high side current sense monitor. Using this device eliminates the need to disrupt the ground plane when sensing a load current. Typical applications include automotive current measurement, DC motor and solenoid control, over current monitor and power management.
ZXCT1008FTA has seven features. (1)Low cost, accurate high-side current sensing. (2)-40 to +125°C temperature range. (3)Up to 500mV sense voltage. (4)2.5V to 20V supply range. (5)4A quiescent current. (6)1% typical accuracy. (7)SOT23 package. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of ZXCT1008FTA have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its voltage on any pin would be from -0.6V to 20V (relative to Iout). (2)Its continuous output current would be 10mA. (3)Its continuous sense voltage would be from Vin-5V to Vin+0.5V. (4)Its operating temperature would be from -40 to 125°C. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -55 to 150°C. (6)Its package power dissipation (Ta=25°C) would be 450mW derate to zero at 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
