The Z87L02 is a baseband processor designed to implement Frequency-Hopping Spread-Spectrum communications in the ISM bands. It is compliant with U.S. FCC Part 15 regulations. The flexibility of the Z87L0X architecture allows for a variety of applications, including data or voice, point-topoint, or multipoint. The Z87L02 contains two DSP cores, dedicated ROM and RAM memory, and special-purpose circuitry to implement a spread-spectrum modem. The chip interfaces to an external RF section for signal conversion to an ISM band. The Z87L02 is available in 100-QFP and 100-VQFP package options.
The Z87L03 is a ROMless version of the Z87L02 (for DSP core 1), offered in a 144-VQFP package.
