Z02201

The Z02201 is a kind of synchronous single-chip modem which provides a means to construct a V.22bis modem capable of 2400 bps full duplex over dial-up lines. The device is specially intended for use in embedded modem applications where space, performance, and low-power consumption are key requirements. All modulation, demodulation, filtering, A/D and D/A conversion function for transmit and receive are provided on-chip.

There are some features of Z02201 as follows: (1)combined data pump and analog front-end (AFE); (2)programmable Bi-Quad tone detections for call progress tone detection; (3)scrambler/descrambler functions plus selectable control over internal data pump functions; (4)adaptive equalization to compensate for a wide variety of line conditions; (5)programmable transmit attenuation and selectable receive threshold; (6)host port allows direct parallel interface to standard 8 Bit microprocessors; (7)HDLC framing at all speeds; (8)low power consumption: 50 mA typical; (9)44-pin PLCC package; (10)single +5 VDC power supply; (11)0 to +70 commercial temperature range and -40 to +85 extended temperature range.
