The YMU277 is a low-voltage operation custom LSI for automatic playback employing FM sound source.There are some features as follows.First is realistic sound by 2 operator FM sound source.The second is 3-octave sound range.Besides,up to 4 sounds with different timbres can be generated.Then is musical performance data for up to 4 melodies within 255 steps.Furthermore,up to 4 timbres can be set for 1 melody (or 1 phase).The sixth is maximum of 8 timbre presets for 8 melodies.The seventh is binary and serial melody selection modes.The eighth is built-in DAC and crystal oscillator circuit.The ninth is that level hold or one shot playback is possible.The tenth is stand-by mode.The last one is low power consumption realized by silicon gate CMOS process.
