There are some features of YM7303 as follows.First is layer 1 which is compatible with CCITT I.430 Recommendation (1988 edition) and with IIC Standard JT-I430 (1988 edition) and includes full-duplex, 4-wire 192 Kbps tranceiver, frame assembling and disassembling function, loop-back/test function (for test and maintenance), input/output terminals for multi-framing and built-in driver and receiver.The second is layer 2 which includes HDLC frame control, LAP-D status control, built-in time for timeout/check and multi-link capability.Then is layer 3 interface function which can be connected to 8-bit or 16-bit miroprocessors (8086 family, Z80,6800,68000).Next is power-down mode (operation with low power consumption).The sixth is CMOS technology with single +5 V supply.The last one is 80-pin QFP.
