The YM2151 is an FM-type sound generator equipped with an 8 bit bus line and capable of producing superb audio quality via a microprocessor program. Features of the YM2151 are:(1)generate up to 8 notes; (2)generate noise; (3)timbre can be altered temporally; (4)high harmonic can be de-hermonized from the base frequency; (5)de-harmonize between octaves; (6)interval setting of up to 1.6 cents; (7)add vibrato and amplitude modulation; (8)generate a variety of sound effects by extreme deharmonization of the high harmonic from the base frequency and massive vibrato and amplitude modulation.
