The XR-8105 lithium lin protection circuit is a monolithic IC which will handle all major lithium ion battery protection requirements during charge and discharge. Three or four cell systems may be used. It is designed to provide highly accurate monitoring of charging conditions for each cell to determine maximum safe cell voltage, and discharging conditions for minimum advisable discharge voltage level.

There are some features of XR-8105 as follows: (1)cell over-voltage detection; (2)cell end of discharge voltage detection; (3)cell under-voltage detection; (4)externally programmable trip voltages; (5)low input bias current.

The following is the maximum ratings of XR-8105: (1)total supply voltage: -0.5 V
