XE2814

The Xecom's XE2814 combines high-speed V.34 data and group III Send/Receive fax in a compact component. The XE2814 is not just a modem chip but a complete modem including the telephone interface. It includes user transferable FCC Part 68 registration and can connect directly to the telephone line through an RJ11 jack. The modem connects to the host though a TTL level serial interface. Xecom designed the XE2814 specifically for commercial and industrial systems with a need for high-speed communications and minimal space.

The XE2814 has its own characteristics. Here lists some of its important features. The first one is: small size 2.75"*1.38"*0.42". The second one is: modem control with "AT" commands. The third one is: class 1 and class 2 fax commands. The fourth one is: data transfer up to 28,800 bps The fifth one is: send and receive fax to 14,400 bps. The sixth one is: MNP and V.42 Error Control. The seventh one is: MNP5 data compression to 57,600 bps and MNP10 error control for cellular links. It's 900mW when operating and is 50mW when in sleep mode.

Next are the characteristics of power supply of the XE2814. Its has two parameters. The  maximum of the supply voltage is 5.25V, and the type value is 5.0V. The Vcc supply current's type value is 180mA, 200mA is its maximum when in active mode, and is 10mA when in sleep mode.
