XE1414VS

Xecom now offers a family of single in-line modems, they combine data, fax, and voice in the smallest available package. These single in-line modems are not just modem chips, they are complete modems including the telephone interface. They include user transferable FCC Part 68 registration and connect direct to the telephone line through an RJ11 jack. We offer three versions of the single in-line modem: XE9624GS, XE9624VS, and XE1414VS. All models include both fax and data communications. The XE9624VS and XE1414VS also support ADPCM voice messaging applications. All models connect to the host through a TTL level serial interface. Xecom designed the XE1414VS specifically for notebook computer, industrial and telecommunications systems applications where communications is essential and space is at a premium.

The XE1414VS has its own characteristics. Here lists some of its important features. The first one is: small size 1.5"*1.5"*0.4". The second one is: modem control with "AT" commands. The third one is: class 1 commands for facsimile control. The fourth one is: MNP and V.42 Error Control. The fifth one is: MNP5 data compression to 28,800 bps. The sixth one is: V.42bis data compression to 57,600 bps. And the last one is: plays and records audio as ADPCM data.

The XE1414VS has some important parameters, whose symbol and absolute maximum ratings are as follows: the supply voltage Vcc is +6.5 Volts. The DC input voltage is -0.6 Volts to +6.5 Volts. And the storage temperature range is -25 Deg C to +85 Deg C. The lead temperature is 260. The operating temperature ranges from 0 to 70.
