XE1212E

The XE1212E is a 1200/300 bps component modem manufactures in a small sized component form factor. With the addition of an external data access arrangement (DAA), complete modem functionality is achieved. This component is specifically designed for applications that require special DAAs, such as international telephone network interfacing. Control of the XE1212E is accomplished through a parallel 8250B UART interface, which can be attached to any microprocessor bus, and with the industry standard "AT" command set. The capability for call progress monitoring and DTMF tone generation as well as guard tones required for CCITT V.22/V.21 communications are included. It operates in asynchronous mode and provides analog, digital and remote digital loopback function for testing.
