XC6403A

The XC6403A is designed as highly precise, low noise, high current, positive voltage low dropout regulator with built-in voltage detector. It is fabricated using torex's CMOS process. Performance features of the XC6403A includes high ripple rejection and low dropout voltage, and features a voltage reference, an error amplifier, a current limiter and a phase compensation circuit plus a driver transistor. Typical applications of XC6403A have CD-ROM, CD-R /RW drive, DVD drive, HDD drive, cameras, video recorders, portable AV equipment and battery powered equipment.

XC6403A has twelve features. (1)More than 300mA output current. (2)Dropout voltage 200mV at 100mA. (3)Operating voltage range is from 2.0V to 6.0V. (4)VR output voltage is 0.9V to 5.6V. (5)Detect voltage is 0.9V to 5.5V. (6)VR VD temperature coefficient is +/-100ppm/°C. (7)Low power consumption is 35A typ. (8)High ripple rejection 65dB at 10KHz. (9)Highly accurate +/-2%. (10)Operating temperature range -40°C to 85°C. (11)Low ESR capacitor compatible. (12)Ultra small packages include SOT-25, SOT-89-5 and USP-6B. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum raings of XC6403A have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its input voltage would be 7.0V. (2)Its VR output current would be 700mA. (3)Its VR output voltage would be from Vss-0.3V to Vin+0.3V. (4)Its VD output current would be 50mA. (5)Its VD output voltage would be from Vss-0.3V to 7.0V. (6)Its Vce /Vsen /Cd pin voltage would be from Vss-0.3V to Vin+0.3V. (6)Its power dissipation would be 250mW for SOT-25 and would be 500mW for SOT-89-5 and would be 100mW for USP-6B. (7)Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to +85°C. (8)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to +125°C.
