X9420WS-2.7

The X9420WS-2.7 is one member of the X9420 family which is designed as the single digitally controlled (XDCP) potentiometer that can be used as a three-terminal potentiometer or as a two-terminal variable resistor in a wide variety of applications including control, parameter adjustments, and signal processing. Also this device is implemented using 63 resistive elements in a series array.

Features of the X9420WS-2.7 are:(1)Solid-State Potentiometer; (2)SPI serial interface; (3)Register oriented format: direct read / write / transfer wiper positions and store as many as four positions per potentiometer; (4)Power supplies: Vcc = 2.7V to 5.5V, V+ = 2.7V to 5.5V and V- = -2.7V to -5.5V; (5)Low power CMOS standby current < 1uA; (6)High reliability - endurance - 100,000 data changes per bit per; (7)register and register data retention - 100 years; (8)8-bytes of nonvolatile EEPROM memory; (9)10 K or 2.5 K resistor arrays; (10)Resolution: 64 taps each pot; (11)14-lead TSSOP, 16-lead SOIC, and 16-pin plastic DIP packages.

The absolute maximum ratings of the X9420WS-2.7 can be summarized as:(1)Temperature under bias:65°C to +135°C;(2)Storage temperature:65°C to +150°C;(3)Voltage on SCK, SCL or any address input with respect to Vss:1 V to +7 V;(4)Lead temperature (soldering, 10 seconds): 300°C;(5)IW (10 seconds): ±6 mA.
