The WM8974GEFL is designed as a low power, high quality mono CODEC designed for portable applications such as digital still camera or digital voice recorder. Typical applications include digital still camera audio codec, wireless VoIP and other communication device handsets /headsets, portable audio recorder and general purpose low power audio CODEC.
The WM8974GEFL has ten features. (1)Mono CODEC. (2)Audio sample rates is 8, 11.025, 16, 22.05, 24, 32, 44.1, 48kHz. (3)DAC SNR 98dB, THD -84dB ('A'-weighted at 8 to 48ks/s). (4)ADC SNR 94dB, THD -83dB ('A'-weighted at 8 to 48ks/s). (5)On-chip headphone /speaker driver with 'cap-less' connect which means 40mW output power into 16 /3.3V SPKVDD and BTL speaker drive 0.9W into 8 /5V SPKVDD. (6)Additional MONO line output. (7)Multiple analog or 'Aux' inputs, plus analog bypass path. (8)Mic Preamps. (9)Differential or single end microphone interface which means programmable preamp gain, psuedo differential inputs with common mode rejection and programmable ALC /noise gate in ADC path. (10)Low-noise bias supplied for electret microphones. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of the WM8974GEFL have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its DBVDD, DCVDD, AVDD supply voltages would be from -0.3V to +4.2V. (2)Its SPKVDD supply voltage would be from -0.3V to +7V. (3)Its voltage range digital inputs DGND would be from -0.3V to DVDD+0.3V. (4)Its voltage range analogue inputs AGND would be from -0.3V to AVDD+0.3V. (5)Its operating temperature range would be from -25°C to +85°C. (6)Its storage temperature prior to soldering would be 30°C max /85% RH max. (7)Its storage temperature after soldering would be from -65°C to +150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device. Analogue and digital grounds must always be within 0.3V of each other. All digital and analogue supplies are completely independent from each other. And so on. If you have any question or suggestion or want to know more information please contact us for details.
