The WM8773 is a high performance, stereo audio ADC withan 8 channel input selector. The WM8773 is ideal fordigitising multiple analogue sources for surround soundprocessing applications for home hi-fi, automotive and otheraudio visual equipment.
A stereo 24-bit multi-bit sigma delta ADC of the WM8773 is used with aneight stereo channel input selector. Each channel hasanalogue domain mute and programmable gain control.Digital audio output word lengths from 16-32 bits andsampling rates from 8kHz to 96kHz are supported.The audio data interface supports I2S, left justified, rightjustified and DSP digital audio formats.
The WM8773 is controlled via a 3 wire serial interface. Theinterface provides access to all features including channelselection, volume controls, mutes, de-emphasis and powermanagement facilities. The device is available in a 64-pinTQFP package.
