WE9215 series

The WE9215 series is a manhester code encoder/decoder chip for remote control.Each chip contains the transmitter and receiver circuit.Therefore it can operate in transmit mode or receive mode depending on the Tx Rx pin.In the transmit(encoder)mode it will generate 1 of 32768 codes depending on the A1-A15 inputs. In the receive(decoder) mode the circuit will receive the serial data in machester code format and make a comparison to the local data word A1-A15.The circuit contains an on chip inexpensive RC oscillator ciruit.The chip operating voltage is recommended at the 3.0 V to 5.0 V . If the VDD supply voltage is greater than 5.5 V then the limiting resistor and Zener diode are needed.

The WE9215 series has many unique features: The first one is operating voltage range is 3.0 V to 5.0 V(low standby current).The second one is on chip oscillator using inexpensive RC components. The third one is Machester code encode/decoder on one chip.The forth one is automatic preamble generation.The fifth one is Schmitt trigger for data input.Besides,it also has some applications: The first one is alarm control system.the second oen is security system.The third one is digital locks.The forth one is paging system.The fifth one is security system,etc.

There are some absolute maximum ratings about the WE9215 series. DC supply voltage is 5.5 V. Input voltage range is Vss-0.3 V to VDD+0.3 V. Power dissipation is 1.0 mW.Operating temperature is 0 to 70.Storage temperature is -25 to +125.
