The W25X16VSSIG is designed as 16Mbit flash memory which provide a storage solution for systems with limited space, pins and power. It offers flexibility and performance well beyond ordinary serial flash devices. It is ideal for code download applications as well as storing voice, text and data. The devices operate on a single 2.7V to 3.6V power supply with current consumption as low as 5mA active and 1A for power-down. All devices are offered in space-saving packages.
W25X16VSSIG has seven features. (1)It belongs a big family of serial flash memories include W25X16 16Mbit /2Mbyte (2,097,152) and W25X32 32Mbit /4Mbyte (4,194,304) and W25X64: 64Mbit /8Mbyte (8,388,608) and 256bytes per programmable page and uniform 4Kbyte sectors /64Kbyte blocks. (2)SPI with single or dual outputs. (3)Data transfer up to 150M-bits /second. (4)Flexible architecture with 4KB sectors. (5)Low power consumption, wide temperature range. (6)Software and hardware write protection. (7)Space efficient packaging. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of W25X16VSSIG have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be from -0.6V to +4.0V. (2)Its voltage applied to any pin would be from -0.6V to Vcc+0.4V. (3)Its transient voltage on any pin would be from -2.0V to Vcc+2.0V. (4)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to +150°C. (5)Its electrostatic discharge voltage would be from -2000V to +2000V. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
