The VSKCS401/045 is designed as one kind of ADD-A-PAK generation VII power modules schottky rectifiers with current of 400A. The VSKCS401 schottky rectifier common cathode has been optimized for low reverse leakage at high temperature. The proprietary barrier technology allows for reliable operation up to 175°C junction temperature. Typical applications are in high current switching power supplies, plating power supplies, UPS systems, converters, freewheeling diodes, welding, and reverse battery protection.
VSKCS401/045 has seven features. (1)175°C Tj operation. (2)Low forward voltage drop. (3)High frequency operation. (4)Low thermal resistance. (5)UL pending. (6)Compliant to RoHS directive 2002/95/EC. (7)Designed and qualified for industrial level. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of VSKCS401/045 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its maximum DC reverse voltage would be 45V. (2)Its maximum working peak reverse voltage would be 45V. (3)Its maximum average forward current per module would be 400A and per leg would be 200A. (4)Its maximum peak one cycle non-repetitive surge current would be 29000A at 5s sine or 3s rect. pulse and would be 3400A at 10ms sine or 6ms rect. pulse. (5)Its non-repetitive avalanche energy would be 270mJ. (6)Its repetitive avalanche current would be 40A. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of VSKCS401/045 are concluded as follow. (1)Its maximum reverse leakage current would be 20mA at Tj=25°C and would be 180mA at Tj=125°C. (2)Its maximum junction capacitance would be 10300pF. (3)Its typical series inductance would be 5.0nH. (4)Its maximum voltage rate of change would be 10000V/us.
