VSKCS220/030

The VSKCS220/030 is designed as one kind of ADD-A-PAK generation VII power modules schottky rectifiers with current of 220A. The VSKCS220 schottky rectifier common cathode has been optimized for low reverse leakage at high temperature. The proprietary barrier technology allows for reliable operation up to 150°C junction temperature. Typical applications are in high current switching power supplies, plating power supplies, UPS systems, converters, freewheeling diodes, welding, and reverse battery protection.

VSKCS220/030 has seven features. (1)150°C Tj operation. (2)Low forward voltage drop. (3)High frequency operation. (4)Low thermal resistance. (5)UL pending. (6)Compliant to RoHS directive 2002/95/EC. (7)Designed and qualified for industrial level. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of VSKCS220/030 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its maximum DC reverse voltage would be 30V. (2)Its maximum working peak reverse voltage would be 30V. (3)Its maximum average forward current per module would be 220A and per leg would be 110A. (4)Its maximum peak one cycle non-repetitive surge current would be 18000A with the condition of 5s sine or 3s rect. pulse and would be 2000A with the condition of 10ms sine or 6ms rect. pulse. (5)Its  non-repetitive avalanche energy would be 99mJ. (6)Its repetitive avalanche current would be 22A. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of VSKCS220/030 are concluded as follow. (1)Its maximum reverse leakage current would be 10mA at Tj=25°C and would be 650mA at Tj=125°C. (2)Its maximum junction capacitance would be 7400pF. (3)Its typical series inductance would be 7.0nH.
