The VR42050 is designed as one kind of positive voltage regulators for use in general purpose applications. It covers the output voltage range from 5Vdc through 34Vdc. This regulator is fabricated using hybrid techniques. This device is complete with internal short circuit protection, which includes voltage shutdown and current fold back.
VR42050 has four features. (1)Output current to 10 amps. (2)Output voltage to 34V. (3)Internal short circuit protection. (4)Custom output voltages available. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of VR42050 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its output current would be 10A. (2)Its power dissipation at 25°C case temperature would be 120W. (3)Its input voltage would be 40V. (4)Its operating temperature range would be from -55°C to 125°C. (5)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of VR42050 (case temperature 25°C unless otherwise specified) are concluded as follow.
