VLA504-01R is a hybrid integrated circuit which is designed for driving n-channel IGBT modules in any gate-amplifier application. It operates as in isolation amplifier for these modules while it also provides the required electrical isolation between the input and output with an opto-coupler.
VLA504-01R has four unique features which is as follows : The first one is electrical isolation between the input and output with opto-coupler(Viso is 2500 Vrms for 1 minute). The second one is two supply driver topology. The third one is built-in circuit protection circuit(with a pin for fault out ). The forth one is TTL compatible input interface. At the same time, it can be applyed to drive IGBT modules for inverter or AC servo system application.
Then, there are some maximum ratings of VLA504-01R(unless otherwise , Ta is 25). Supply voltage(Vcc) is 18 V under the condition of DC. Supply voltage(VEE) is 18 V under the condition of DC. Isolation voltage is 2500 Vrms (sine wave voltage 60Hz, for 1 min). Case temeprature is 85. Operating temperature is from -20 to 60 under the condition that there is no condensation. Storage temperature is from -25 to 100 when there is no condensation. Fault output current is 20 mA when 8 pin is applied . Input voltage at 1 pin is 50 V when 1 pin is applied.
At last , there are some cautions about VLA504-01R. The materials used in packing Hics can only withstand normal external conditions.When exposed to outside shocks, rain and certain environmental contaminations, the packing materials will deteriorates. Please take care in handling. When extended storage is necessary, Hics must be kept non-processed .
