VG2043

The integrated circuit VG2043 is used in relay-controlled automotive flashers where a high EMC level is required . A lamp outage is indicated by frequency doubling during hazard mode as well as direction mode. The VG2043 pilot lamp can be connected either to Vbalt or GND.It has many unqiue features: The first one is temperature and voltage compensated frequency. The second one is warning indication of lamp failure by menas of frequency doubling. The third one is minimum lamp load ofr flasher operation is not less than 10 W. the forth one is relay output with high current carrying capacity and low saturation votlage. the fifth one is Dip8 or Sop8 package. The sixth one is two type supply voltage for selection which is 24 V.

There are some absolute maximum ratings about VG2043. PINS2.6 supply voltage(Vs) is 30.0 V.PIN3 output current is 0.3 A. Power dissipation is 420 mW(Tamb is 95, DIP8).Power dissipation is 690 mW(Tamb is 60,DIP8). Junction temperature (Tj) is 150.Ambient temperature range(Tamb) is -40 to 95. Storage temperature range(Tstg)is -55 to 150.Otherwise, there are also some electrical charactersitics about it. Relay output reverse current is 0.1 mA max(pin 3). Start delay (ton) is 10 ms max(first bright phase). Frequency determining resistor(RI) is 6.8 kohms min and 510 kohms max. Freuqency determing capacitor(CI) is 47 uF max. Frequency toelrance is -5% min and +5% max(nominal flashing). Bright period is 47% min and 53% max(basic frequency). Bright period is 37% min and 45% max(control frequency f2). Leakage resistance(Rp) is 2 kohms typ and 5 kohms max (49a to GND). Lamp load is 10 W min.
