VAD2150

The VAD2150 is a fast 7-bit A/D converter of the flash type,manufactured in CI technology (CI=collector implanted) and housed in an 18-pin Dil plastic package.Tt mainly consists of 127-fast comparators and is primarily intended for the A/D conversion of the video signal for the second channel in the picture-in-picture system,based on the DIGIT2000 digital TV concept.The VAD2150 can also be used in other applications which call for a low-cost high-speed A/D converter,as TV scrambers,digital teletext decoders,video memory applications,D2-mac DBS satellite receivers etc.

The VAD2150 has 8 features.The main features of the VAD2150 video A/D converter are:The first one is 7-bit flash A/D conversion.The second one is no external sample and hold required.The third one is high-speed operation is 20 MHz.The fourth one is full compatability with the DIGIT 2000 system.The fifth one is output word gary-coded.The sixth one is two analog inputs with different amplitudes selectable.The seventh one is sensitivity of inputs can be doubled.The eighth one is 1/2 LSB reference toggling.
