This data sheet describes Siemens Gigabit Ethernet multimode transceiver. V23809-K305-C50 is based on the Physical Medium Depend (PMD) sublayer and baseband medium, type 1000BASE-SX (short wavelength).

The V23809-K305-C50 appropriate fiber optic cable is 62.5m or 50m multimode fiber with duplex SC connector.

The Siemens Gigabit Ethernet multimode transceiver is a single unit comprised of a transmitter, a receiver, and an SC receptacle. This design of V23809-K305-C50 frees the customer from many alignment and PC board layout concerns.
