The USD4530C is designed as one kind of power schottky rectifiers which is specifically for operation in power switching circuits to frequencies in excess of 100KHz. The very low forward voltage and low recovered charge transiates to extremely high efficiency making them particularly suited for low voltage switching type power supplies.
USD4530C has six features. (1)Economical convenient TO-3P package. (2)Insulated mounting hole. (3)Can be clip mounted. (4)Mechanically rugged. (5)Low thermal resistance. (6)Extremely low Vf. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of USD4530C have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its working peak reverse voltage would be 30V. (2)Its DC blocking voltage would be 30V. (3)Its peak repetitive surge voltage would be 36V. (4)Its maximum average DC output current at Tc=115°C would be 45A. (5)Its non-repetitive sinusoidal surge current 8.3ms would be 450A. (6)Its peak reverse transient current would be 2A. (7)Its thermal resistance junction to case would be 0.7°C/W. (8)Its thermal resistance junction to ambient would be 40°C/W. (9)Its operating and storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of USD4530C are concluded as follow. (1)Its Vrwm would be 30V. (2)Its maximum forward voltage would be 0.63V at 45A at Tj=25°C and it would be 0.60V at 23A at Tj=125°C. (3)Its maximum reverse current at Vrwm would be 20mA at Tj=25°C and would be 75mA at Tj=125°C. (4)Its maximum capacitance at Vr=5.0V would be 4000pF.
