The US100A is designed as one kind of high voltage, medium current stacks which is assembled from hermetically sealed, controlled avalanche individual diodes. Therefore, they offer the ultimate in reliability for such applications as clipper diodes, back swing diodes and hold-off diodes in pulse modulators.
US100A has six features. (1)Controlled avalanche characteristics. (2)Recovery times to 500ns. (3)Transfer molded for voidless encapsulation. (4)High forward and reverse surge capability. (5)PIV from 1200V to 20000V. (6)Only fused-in-glass diodes used. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of US100A have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its peak inverse voltage would be 1200V to 2000V. (2)Its non-repetitive sinusoidal surge 8.3ms would be 20A. (3)Its operating temperature range would be form -65°C to 150°C. (4)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. US100A should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics for the standard recovery US100A are concluded as follow. (1)Its PIV would be 10000V. (2)Its maximum leakage current at PIV would be 2uA at Ta=25°C and it would be 100uA at Ta=100°C. (3)Its maximum forward voltage drop would be 17V at 100mA. (4)Its body size would be SE. (5)Its maximum ratings max average DC output current would be 250mA at Ta=25°C (for air) and it would be 500mA at Ta=50°C for oil.
And for fast recovery some specifications of US100A are concluded as follow. (1)Its PIV would be 10000V. (2)Its maximum leakage current at PIV would be 5uA at Ta=25°C and it would be 150uA at Ta=100°C. (3)Its maximum forward voltage drop would be 24V at 100mA. (4)Its body size would be SE. (5)Its maximum ratings max average DC output current would be 200mA at Ta=25°C (for air) and it would be 400mA at Ta=50°C for oil. And so on. At present we have not so much information about this IC and we would try hard to get more information about it.
