The ULQ2001A is designed as one kind of high voltage, high current darlington arrays which contains seven open collector darlington pairs with common emitters. Each channel is rated at 500mA and can withstand peak currents of 600mA. Suppression diodes are included for inductive load driving and the inputs are pinned opposite the outputs to simplify board layout.
ULQ2001A has eight features. (1)Seven darlington per package. (2)Extended temperature range which would be from -40°C to 105°C. (3)Output current 500mA per driver (600mA peak). (4)Output voltage is 50V. (5)Integral suppression diodes for inductive loads. (6)Outputs can be paralleled for high current. (7)TTL/CMOS/PMOS/DTL compatible inputs. (8)Inputs pinned opposite outputs to simplify layout. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of ULQ2001A have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its output voltage would be 50V. (2)Its input voltage would be 30V. (3)Its continuous collector current would be 500mA. (4)Its continuous base current would be 25mA. (5)Its operating ambient temperature range would be from -40°C to 105°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C. (7)Its junction temperature range would be 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of ULQ2001A are concluded as follow. (1)Its output leakage current would be max 50uA and it would be max 100uA at Tj=105°C. (2)Its collector to emitter saturation voltage would be typ 0.9V and max 1.1V with conditions of Ic=100mA, Ib=250uA and it would be typ 1.1V and max 1.3V with conditions of Ic=200ma and Ib=350uA and it would be typ 1.3V and max 1.6V with conditions of Ic=350mA and Ib=500uA.
