The ULN3841A is designed as one kind of AM signal processors which provides the AM signal processing function for an electronically tuned AM receiver (ETR). It include a balanced mixer, buffered local oscillator IF amplifier, AM detector, scan control detectors, and a switchable voltage regulator. The addition of a JFET matched to a whip antenna, RF tuning components, IF selectivity, and audio stages gives a complete AM radio which can be used in automative receivers.
ULN3841A has nine features. (1)Low noise figure. (2)Balanced mixer. (3)Buffered local oscillator. (4)Improved stop detector. (5)Wide band AGC. (6)Delayed AGC. (7)Narrow band FM output. (8)Low supply current. (9)7 to 16V operation. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of ULN3841A have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage would be 18V. (2)Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to 85°C.
