The ULN2003ADR is designed as one kind of monolithic high-voltage, high-current darlington transistor arrays. Each consists of seven NPN darlington pairs that feature high-voltage outputs with common-cathode clamp diodes for switching inductive loads. The collector-current rating of a single darlington pair is 500mA. The darlington pairs may be paralleled for higher current capability. Applications include relay drivers, hammer drivers, lamp drivers, display drivers (LED and gas discharge), line drivers, and logic buffers.
ULN2003ADR has six features. (1)500mA rated collector current (single output). (2)High-voltage outputs would be 50V. (3)Output clamp diodes. (4)Inputs compatible with various types of logic. (5)Relay driver applications. (6)Designed to be interchangeable with sprague ULN2001A series. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of ULN2003ADR have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its collector to emitter voltage would be 50V. (2)Its input voltage would be 30V. (3)Its peak collector current would be 500mA. (4)Its output clamp current would be 500mA. (5)Its total emitter terminal current would be -2.5A. (6)Its operating free-air temperature range would be from -20°C to 85°C. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (8)Its lead temperature 1,6mm (1/16 inch) from case for 10 seconds would be 260°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of ULN2003ADR are concluded as follow. (1)Its on-state input voltage would be max 2.4V at Ic=200mA and would be max 2.7V at Ic=250mA and would be max 3V at Ic=300mA. (2)Its collector to emitter saturation voltage would be typ 0.9V and max 1.1V at Ii=250uA and Ic=100mA and it would be typ 1V and max 1.3V at Ii=350uA and Ic=200mA and it would be typ 1.2V and max 1.6V at Ii=500uA and Ic=350mA. And so on. If you have any question or suggestion or want to know more information please contact us for details. Thank you!
