The UCC1808-2 is designed as one kind of low power current mode push-pull PWM. It contains all of the control and drive circuitry required for off-line or DC-to-DC fixed frequency current-mode switching power supplies with minimal external parts count.
UCC1808-2 has eight features. (1)130mA typical starting current. (2)1mA typical run current. (3)Operation to 1MHz. (4)Internal soft start. (5)On chip error amplifier with 2MHz gain bandwidth product. (6)On chip Vdd clamping. (7)Dual output drive stages in push-pull configuration. (8)Output drive stages capable of 500mA peak source current, 1A peak sink current. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of UCC1808-2 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage (Idd<=10mA) would be 15V. (2)Its supply current would be 20mA. (3)Its OUTA/OUTB source current peak would be -0.5A. (4)Its OUTA/OUTB sink current peak would be 1A. (5)Its analog inputs (FB, CS) would be from -0.3V to Vdd+0.3V not exceed 6V. (6)Its power dissipation would be 1W for N package and would be 650mW for D package. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (8)Its junction temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C. (9)Its lead temperature soldering 10 seconds would be 300°C.
