DescriptionThe UC3874N-1 is a high efficiency, synchronous, step-down (buck) controllers.The UC3874 family of synchronous step-down (Buck) regulators provides high efficiency power conversion from an input voltage range of 4.5 to 36 volts.It is tailored for battery powered applications such as laptop computers,consumer products,communications systems,and aerospace which demand high performance and long battery life.
Features of the UC3874N-1 are:(1)operation to 36v input voltage;(2)fixed frequency average current mode control;(3)standby mode for improved efficiency at light load;(4)drives external n-channel mosfets for highest efficiency;(5)sleep mode current < 50ma;(6)complementary 1 amp outputs with regulated gate drive voltage;(7)ldo (low drop out) virtual 100% duty cycle operation;(8)non-overlapping gate drives.
