Description

The UC3843D1 is designed as fixed frequencycurrent-mode PWM controller. They are specially designed for Off-Line and DC to DC converter applications with minimum external components. These integrated circuits feature a trimmed oscillator for precise duty cycle control. A temperature compensated reference, high gain error amplifier, current sensing comparator and a high current totempole output for driving a power MOSFET.

UC3843D1 has four features. (1) Low start up current. (2) Maximum duty clamp. (3) UVLO with hysteresis. (4) Operating frequency up to 500KHz. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of UC3843D1 have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its supply voltage would be 30V. (2) Its output current would be ±1A. (3) Its analog inputs would be from -0.3 to 6.3V. (4) Its error amp output sink current would be 10mA. (5) Its power dissipation at Ta25°C (8DIP) would be 1200mW. (6) Its power dissipation at Ta25°C (8SOP) would be 460mW. (7) Its power dissipation at Ta25°C (14SOP) would be 680mW. (8) Its storage temperature range would be from -65 to +150°C. (9) Its lead temperature (soldering, 10sec) would be +300°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
