The U3D-E3/57T is designed as one kind of surface mount ultrafast plastic rectifiers for use in high frequency rectification and freewheeling application in switching mode converters and inverters for consumer, computer, automotive and telecommunication.
U3D-E3/57T has seven features. (1)Oxide planar chip junction. (2)Ultrafast recovery time. (3)Low forward voltage, low power losses. (4)High forward surge capability. (5)Meets MSL level 1, per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of 260°C. (6)Solder dip 260°C, 40s. (7)Component in accordance to RoHS 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of U3D-E3/57T have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage would be 200V. (2)Its maximum average forward rectified current would be 2.0A at Tm=134°C and would be 3.0A at Tm=125°C. (3)Its peak forward surge current 8.3ms single half sine-wave superimposed on rated load would be 100A. (4)Its operating junction and storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of U3D-E3/57T are concluded as follow. (1)Its instantaneous forward voltage would be typ 0.85V and max 0.90V at Ta=25°C and would be typ 0.74V and max 0.83V at Ta=100°C. (2)Its reverse current would be max 10uA at Ta=25°C and would be typ 250uA and max 500uA at Ta=100°C. (3)Its reverse recovery time would be max 20ns with conditions of If=0.5A, Ir=1.0A, Irr=0.25A. (4)Its storage charge would be typ 9nC and max 15nC at Ta=25°C and would be typ 22nC and max 35nC at Ta=100°C. (5)Its typical junction capacitance would be typ 25pF. And so on.
