Description

The U2D-E3/52T is designed as one kind of surface mount ultrafast plastic rectifiers for use in low voltage, high frequency rectifier of switching power supplies, freewheeling diodes, dc-to-dc converters or polarity protection application.

U2D-E3/52T has seven features. (1)Oxide planar chip junction. (2)Ultrafast recovery time. (3)Low forward voltage, low power losses. (4)High forward surge capability. (5)Meets MSL level 1, per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of 260°C. (6)Solder dip 260°C, 40s. (7)Component in accordance to RoHS 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC. Those are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of U2D-E3/52T have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage would be 200V. (2)Its maximum average forward rectified current would be 2.0A. (3)Its peak forward surge current 8.3ms single half sine-wave superimposed on rated load would be 50A. (4)Its operating junction and storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.

Also some electrical characteristics of U2D-E3/52T are concluded as follow. (1)Its instantaneous forward voltage would be typ 0.86V and max 0.9V at If=2.0A, Ta=25°C and would be typ 0.76V and max 0.83V at If=2A, Ta=100°C. (2)Its reverse current would be max 10uA at Ta=25°C and would be typ 180uA and max 350uA at Ta=100°C. (3)Its reverse recovery time would be max 20ns with conditions of If=0.5A, Ir=1.0A, Irr=0.25A. (4)Its storage charge would be typ 9nC at Ta=25°C and would be typ 19nC at Ta=100°C. (5)Its typical junction capacitance would be typ 16pF at 4.0V, 1MHz. And so on.
