The U20DCT is designed as one kind of dual common-cathode ultrafast plastic rectifiers for use in low voltage, high frequency rectifier of switching power supplies, freewheeling diodes, dc-to-dc converters or polarity protection specifically for DCM application.
U20DCT has eight features. (1)Oxide planar chip junction. (2)Ultrafast recovery time. (3)Soft recovery characteristics. (4)Low switching losses, high efficiency. (5)High forward surge capability. (6)Meets MSL level 1, per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of 245°C (for TO-263AB package). (7)Solder dip 260°C, 40s (for TO-220AB package). (8)Component in accordance to RoHS 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of U20DCT have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage would be 200V. (2)Its maximum average forward rectified current would be 20A for total device and would be 10A for per diode. (3)Its peak forward surge current 10ms single half sine-wave superimposed on rated load per diode would be 100A. (4)Its electrostatic discharge capacitor voltage would be 8kV. (5)Its operating junction and storage temperature range would be from -55°C to 150°C. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
Also some electrical characteristics of U20DCT are concluded as follow. (1)Its instantaneous forward voltage per diode would be typ 0.854V at If=5.0A, Tj=25°C and would be typ 0.931V and max 1.00V at If=10A, Tj=25°C and would be typ 0.76V at If=5.0A, Tj=100°C and would be typ 0.834V and max 0.91V at If=10A, Tj=100°C. (2)Its reverse current per diode would be typ 1.2uA and max 15uA at Tj=25°C and would be typ 120uA and max 500uA at Tj=100°C. (3)Its reverse recovery time per diode would be typ 26ns and max 35ns with conditions of If=0.5A, Ir=1.0A, Irr=0.25A. (4)Its stored charge per diode would be typ 30nC. And so on.
