The TSOP34836 is designed as one kind of miniaturized receivers for infrared remote control systems. PIN diode and preamplifier are assembled on lead frame, the epoxy package is designed as IR filter. The demodulated output signal can directly be decoded by a microprocessor. It is the standard IR remote control receiver series for 3V supply voltage, supporting all major transmission codes.
TSOP34836 has seven features. (1)Photo detector and preamplifier in one package. (2)Internal filter for PCM frequency. (3)Improved shielding against electrical field disturbance. (4)TTL and CMOS compatibility. (5)Output active low. (6)Supply voltage: 2.7V to 5.5V. (7)Improved immunity against ambient light. Those are all the main features.
Some TSOP34836 absolute maximum ratings have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage (pin 3) would be from -0.3V to +6.0V. (2)Its supply current pin 3 would be 3mA. (3)Its output voltage (pin 1) would be from -0.3V to Vs+0.3V. (4)Its output current (pin 1) would be 10mA. (5)Its junction temperature would be 100°C. (6)Its storage temperature range would be from -25 to +85°C. (7)Its operating temperature range would be from -25 to +85°C. (8)Its soldering temperature would be 260°C. (9)Its power consumption would be 30mW. It should be noted that stresses above those listed in absolute maximum ratings may cause permanent damage to device.
