Description

The TSC2200IPWR is designed as a complete PDA analog interface circuit. It contains a complete 12-bit, Analog-to-Digital (A/D) resistive touch screen converter including drivers, the control to measure touch pressure, keyboard controller, and an 8-bit digital to analog (D/A) converter output for LCD contrast control. It interfaces to the host controller through a standard SPI serial interface. It offers programmable resolution and sampling rates from 8- to 12-bits and up to 125kHz to accommodate different screen sizes.

TSC2200IPWR has twelve features. (1) 4-wire touch screen interface and 4-by-4 keypad interface. (2) Ratiometric conversion. (3) Single 2.7V to 3.6V supply. (4) Serial interface. (5) Internal detection of screen touch and keypad. (6) Programmable 8-, 10-, or 12-bit resolution. (7) Programmable sampling rates. (8) Direct battery measurement (0.5V to 6V). (9) On-chip temperature measurement. (10) Touch-pressure measurement. (11) Full power-down control. (12) Tssop-28 and qfn-32 packages. That are all the main features.

Some absolute maximum ratings of TSC2200IPWR have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its Vdd to GND would be from -0.3V to +6.0V. (2) Vbat input voltage to GND would be from -0.3V to +6.0V. (3) Its analog input voltage to GND (eacept Vbat) would be from -0.3V to Vdd+0.3V. (4) Its digital input voltage to GND would be from -0.3V to Vdd+0.3V. (5) Its operating temperature range would be from -40°C to +105°C. (6) Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to +150°C. (7) Its junction temperature would be 150°C. (8) Its TSSOP package thermal impedance would be 90°C/W. (9) Its lead temperature soldering would be +215°C for vapor phase 60s and would be +220°C for infrared 15s.
