The TRSL-93120FG series single mode transceivers is small form factor, low power, high performance module for bi-directional serial optical data communications such as Fibre Channel 2X/1X SM-LC-L FC-PI and IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet 1000BASE-LX. This module is designed for single mode fiber and operates at a nominal wavelength of 1550 nm. A guaranteed minimum optical link budget of 30 dB is offered which can correspond to a link distance of over 120 km (assuming worst case fiber loss of 0.22 dB/km). The transmitter section uses a multiple quantum well 1550 nm DFB laser and is a class 1 laser compliant according to International Safety Standard IEC-60825. The receiver section of the TRSL-93120FG uses an integrated InGaAs detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC. A LVPECL logic interface simplifies interface to external circuitry.
