The TPS73701DRBRG4 is designed as one member of the TPS737 family which is low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulators uses an NMOS pass element in a voltage-follower configuration. This topology is relatively insensitive to output capacitor value and ESR, allowing a wide variety of load configurations. Load transient response is excellent, even with a small 1.0F ceramic output capacitor. The NMOS topology of TPS73701DRBRG4 also allows very low dropout.
TPS73701DRBRG4 has ten features. (1) Stable with 1.0F or larger ceramic output capacitor. (2) Input voltage range: 2.2V to 5.5V. (3) Ultra-low dropout voltage: 130mV typ at 1A. (4) Excellent load transient response-even with only 1.0F output capacitor. (5) NMOS topology delivers low reverse leakage current. (6) 1.0% initial accuracy. (7) 3% overall accuracy over line, load, and temperature. (8) Less than 20nA typical IQ in shutdown mode. (10) Thermal shutdown and current limit for fault protection. (11) Available in multiple output voltage versions which means adjustable output: 1.20V to 5.5V and custom outputs available using factory package-level programming. That are all the main features.
