The TPS54310PWP is designed as one kind of 3V to 6V input, 3A output synchronous-buck PWM switchers with integrated FETs (SWIFT). Included on the substrate with the listed features are a true, high performance, voltage error amplifier, TPS54310PWP provides high performance under transient conditions; an undervoltage-lockout circuit to prevent start-up until the input voltage reaches 3V; an internally and externally set slow-start circuit to limit in-rush currents; and a power good output useful for processor/logic reset, fault signaling, and supply sequencing.
TPS54310PWP has seven features. (1)60mohms MOSFET switches for high efficiency at 3A continuous output source of sink current. (2)0.9V to 3.3V adjustable output voltage with 1% accuracy. (3)Externally compensated for design flexibility. (4)Fast transient response. (5)Wide PWM frequency: fixed 350KHz, 550KHz or adjustable 280KHz to 700KHz. (6)Load protected by peak current limit and thermal shutdown. (7)Integrated solution reduces board area and total cost. Those are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of TPS54310PWP have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its input voltage range would be from -0.3V to 7V. (2)Its output voltage range would be from -0.3V to 7V for Vbias, PWRGD, CMOP and would be from -0.6V to 10V for PH. (3)Its source current would be 6mA for CMOP, Vbias. (4)Its sink current would be 6A for PH and 6mA for CMOP and would be 10mA for SS/ENA, PWRGD. (5)Its voltage differential would be +/-0.3V. (6)Its operating virtual junction temperature range would be from -40°C to 150°C. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (8)Its lead temperature 1.6mm (1/16 inch) from case for 10 seconds would be 300°C.
