Description

The TPS40130 is a two-phase synchronous buckcontroller that is optimized for low-output voltage,high-output current applications powered from asupply between 3 V and 40 V. A multi-phase con-verter of TPS40130 offers several advantages over a single powerstage including lower current ripple on the input andoutput capacitors, faster transient response to load steps, improved power handling capabilities, andhigher system efficiency.

Each phase of TPS40130 can be operated at a switching frequencyup to 1 MHz, resulting in an effective ripple frequencyof up to 2 MHz at the input and the output. The twophases operates 180 degrees out-of-phase.
