The TPS40055PWP is designed as one member of the TPS4005x family of high-voltage, wide input (8 V to 40 V), synchronous, step-down converters. The TPS4005x family offers design flexibility with a variety of user programmable functions, including soft-start, UVLO, operating frequency, voltage feed- forward, high-side current limit, and loop compensation. Typical applications include power modules, networking / telecom, industrial and servers.
TPS40055PWP has ten features. (1) Operating input voltage would be from 8V to 40V. (2) Input voltage feed-forward compensation. (3) < 1 % internal 0.7V reference. (4) Programmable fixed-frequency up to 1MHz voltage mode controller. (5) Internal gate drive outputs for high-side and synchronous N-channel MOSFETs. (6) 16-pin powerPAD package (JC = 2°C/W). (7) Thermal shutdown. (8) Externally synchronizable. (9) Programmable high-side current limit. (10) Programmable closed-loop soft-start. That are all the main features.

(2) Its output voltage range would be from -0.3V to 6V. (3) Its input current would be 5mA. (4) Its output current would be 200uA.
