The TPS2835PWP is designed as MOSFET driver for synchronous-buck power stages. TPS2835PWP is ideal for designing a high-performance power supply using a switching controller that does not include suitable on-chip MOSFET drivers. It is designed to deliver minimum 2A peak currents into large capacitive loads. The high-side driver can be configured as ground-reference or as floating-bootstrap. An adaptive dead-time control circuit eliminates shoot-through currents through the main power FETs during switching transitions, and provides high efficiency for the buck regulator.
TPS2835PWP has twelve features. (1) Floating bootstrap or ground-reference high-side driver. (2) Active deadtime control. (3) 50-ns max rise / fall times with 3.3nF load. (4) 2A min peak output current. (5) 4.5V to 15V supply voltage range. (6) TTL-compatible inputs. (7) Internal schottky bootstrap diode. (8) SYNC control for synchronous or nonsynchronous operation. (9) CROWBAR for OVP, protects against faulted high-side power FETs. (10) Low supply current would be 3 mA typ. (11) Ideal for high-current single- or multiphase applications. (12) -40°C to 125°C junction-temperature operating range. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of TPS2835PWP have been concluded into several points as follow. (1) Its supply voltage range would be from -0.3V to 16V. (2) Its input voltage range would be from -0.3V to 30V for BOOT to PGND (high-side driver ON) and would be from -0.3V to 16V for BOOTLO to PGND and would be from -0.3V to 16V for BOOT to BOOTLO and would be from -0.3V to 16V for ENABLE, SYNC, and CROWBAR and would be from -0.3V to 16V for IN and would be from -0.3V to 30V for DT. (3) Its operating virtual junction temperature range would be from -40°C to 125°C. (4) Its storage temperature range would be from -65°C to 150°C. (5) Its lead temperature soldering 1,6 mm (1/16 inch) from case for 10 seconds would be 260°C.
