The TPA3200D1DCP is designed as a 20-W (per channel) efficient, digital audio power amplifier for driving a bridged-tied speaker. It can drive a speaker with an impedance as low as 4 ohms. The high efficiency of it (85%) eliminates the need for an external heat sink.
TPA3200D1DCP has two features. (1)For the digital interface it would mean 24-bit resolution, supports I2S and 16-bit word right-justified digital input formats, multiple sampling frequencies 5kHz to 200kHz, 8x oversampling digital filter and soft mute. (2)For the power amplifier it would mean 20W into an 8W load from an 18V supply, efficient operation eliminates need for heat sinks, three selectable and fixed gain settings, thermal and short circuit protection. That are all the main features.
Some absolute maximum ratings of TPA3200D1DCP have been concluded into several points as follow. (1)Its supply voltage Vcc, PVcc would be from -0.3V to 21V. (2)Its supply voltage Vdd would be from -0.3V to 6.5V. (3)Its load impedance would be larger than 3.6 ohms. (4)Its input voltage would be from -0.3v to Vcc+0.3V. (5)Its operating free-air temperature range would be from -25°C to 85°C. (6)Its operating junction temperature range would be from -25 to 150°C. (7)Its storage temperature range would be from -65 to 150°C. (8)Its lead temperature 1.6 mm (1/16 inch) from case for 10 seconds would be 260°C.
