The TMS57014ADWBLE is one member of the TMS57014A series. The TMS57014A is a stereo oversampled-sigma-delta digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed for use in systems such as compact disks, digital audio tapes, multimedia, and video cassette recorders. The device provides high-resolution signal conversion. This device consists of two identical synchronous conversion paths for left and right audio channels. Other overhead functions provide on-chip timing and control.
Features of the TMS57014ADWBLE are:(1)single 5-V power supply; (2)sample rates (Fs) up to 48 kHz; (3)18-bit resolution; (4)pulse-width-modulation (PWM) output; (5)de-emphasis filter for sample rates of 32, 37.8, 44.1, and 48 kHz; (6)mute with zero-data-detect flags; (7)digital attenuation to 60 dB; (8)total harmonic distortion of 0.004% maximum; (9)total-channel dynamic range of 96 dB minimum; (10)serial-port interface; (11)differential architecture; (12)CMOS technology; (13)2s-complement data format. In order to minimize risks associated with the customer's applications, adequate design and operating safeguards must be provided by the customer to minimize inherent or procedural hazards.
The absolute maximum ratings of the TMS57014ADWBLE can be summarized as:(1)output voltage range:0.3V to AVDDL+0.3 V;(2)storage temperature range:-55 to +150;(3)operating free-air temperature range:0 to +70;(4)input voltage range:-0.3 V to DVDD+0.3 V;(5)digital supply voltage range:0.3 to 7.0V.Stresses beyond those listed under "absolute maximum ratings" may cause permanent damage to the device. These are stress ratings only, and functional operation of the device at these or any other conditions beyond those indicated under "recommended operating conditions" is not implied. Exposure to absolute-maximum-rated conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability.Texas Instruments and its subsidiaries (TI) of the TMS57014ADWBLE reserve the right to make changes to their products or to discontinue any product or service without notice, and advise customers to obtain the latest version of relevant information to verify, before placing orders, that information being relied on is current and complete. All products are sold subject to the terms and conditions of sale supplied at the time of order acknowledgement, including those pertaining to warranty, patent infringement, and limitation of liability.
